Mia Aesthetics is looking for Post-Operative Coordinator/Medical Assistant to deliver excellent customer and patient service while educating the patient. The ideal candidate may be certified as a Registered Medical Assistant and have prior work experience in a medical office. Flexibility on the weekends is a must.
Requirements
Role Responsibilities:
- Communicates to the patients in a manner that instills understanding and confidence about their post procedure discharge instructions
- Conducts follow-up telephone calls to patients after surgery and maintains record keeping accordingly
- Handles all telephone communications with patients regarding post-operative care
- Serves as liaison between patient, nurse practitioner, surgeon and facility staff
- Taking vital signs of the patients
- Obtaining testimonials
- Obtaining patient information
- Escorting patients into the massage rooms
- Sell surgical accessories to patients when needed
- Reports any problems or unusual circumstances to the clinical manager or doctor
- Understands and communicates well to patients about different surgeries and the healing process (Discharge)
- Understands and follows procedures for post-surgical and procedural processes
- Displays consistent professionalism
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High School Diploma required; AA Degree preferred
- Active Registered Medical Assistant Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Plastic Surgery knowledge preferred
- BLS Certification preferred
- HIPAA & OSHA Compliance Certification preferred
