Our client is a general contractor located in the Chicago, IL. Over the past few years, they have expanded their presence across the Midwest significantly and have become more heavily involved in larger govement/federal projects. They pride themselves on the ability to take on any project type or complexity and deliver quality results. They work on both ground-up and renovation projects in various sectors.
Job Description
- Oversee and run projects from preconstruction phase through closeout
- Organize business development meetings when necessary
- Plans and coordinates project activities inline with company polices and procedures
- Assist Senior PMs with client meetings - establish long-standing relationships w/ clients
- Creates and reviews project schedules
- Coordinate with field crews and superintendents to ensure project delivery
- Responsible for forecasting and estimating costs and changes to costs for project completion
- Ensure safety protocols are being adhered to on the job site
- Travel when necessary (once a month per project)
- Create positive/welcoming work environment for teams
The Successful Applicant
- At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry
- Must have project experience with govement and/or federal projects
- Bachelor's degree preferred (degree in construction is a plus)
- Heavy estimating experience is a plus
- Organized and able to effectively communicate
- Creative/fun personality
- Prior experience interacting with clients
- A competitive base salary between $100,000-$130,000 (Depending on Experience)
- Competitive bonus structure, project/profit based. Typically between $8,000-$15,000 in the first year)
