Job Description
- Lead and manage all aspects of healthcare construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and exceed expectations.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
- Oversee the performance of project team members and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards, particularly those specific to healthcare facilities.
- Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and closeout documentation.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, maintaining communication and providing regular project updates.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 7 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with a strong focus on healthcare projects.
- Proven track record of successfully managing healthcare construction projects in NYC, including hospitals, medical offices, and other healthcare facilities.
- Deep understanding of healthcare-specific construction requirements, including infection control, MEP systems, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of NYC building codes and regulations is a plus.
