Michigan Law Center, PLLC is a boutique firm in the Macomb County Area of Michigan, and we specialize in helping clients with special needs planning, special needs trust administration, settlement planning, estate planning, probate, and elder law.
We have a professional collaborative environment and strong team-orientation. We work a hybrid work schedule during the week, meaning about half-time in office, and half work from home once onboarded.
Our growing firm is searching for an experienced paralegal to join our team.
About You
Our ideal candidate has five (5) or more years’ experience as an estate planning and probate paralegal. You need to have great attention to detail, follow through, committed to helping create a great client experience, and work well as part of a team. You find immense satisfaction in making a positive impact on others’ lives. You are also comfortable with technology, highly organized, work efficiently under pressure, have strong listening skills, and excellent communication and analytical skills. You are looking for a career and not just a job.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Managing client files/cases
- Serving as liaison between the client, counsel, and other staff members
- Drafting legal documents and other related correspondence
- Draft petitions
- Conducting research
- Analyzing and organizing information, documents and exhibits
- Follow and create efficient processes
This position requires as well as integrity and care to obtain professional results. Candidates must be team-oriented and able to share information, goals, opportunities, successes and failures with the appropriate parties.
Experience & Requirements:
- Proficient in a Mac environment is preferred
- Paralegal certificate or relevant 5 years’ experience preferred
- Knowledge of Clio and Clio Grow is preferred, but not required
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Knowledge of legal terminology

Salary range starting at $60,000 and will be adjusted according to experience and skillsets.
