Job Posting for Executive Assistant at Michigan League for Public Policy
The League seeks to hire an Executive Assistant that will be responsible for providing administrative support to the President & CEO, Board of Directors and staff Leadership Team. The organization is in Lansing and the position will typically require at least part of one or two days in the office, with the rest of the work done remotely. There are occasional times when a project may require more time in the office.
Areas of responsibility:
Provides high-level, administrative support to the President & CEO, Board of Directors and Leadership Team.
Organizes files, drafts letters, memos, invoices, reports and other documents.
Communicates with external partners including board members, funders, executives, elected officials and community partners.
Provides calendar management for the President & CEO. This includes scheduling meetings.
Assists the President & CEO with fundraising projects.
Updates and maintains the membership and fundraising database.
Provides administrative and operational support for the organization.
Helps to problem solve technology questions for staff.
Participates in the League’s internal Diversity, Equity and Inclusion work.
Qualifications:
Five years of experience providing administrative support, with preference to executive level support.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail.
Excellent time management skills, including the ability to track and meet deadlines.
Resourceful and a problem solver.
Exhibits high level of professionalism in communication.
Able to maintain confidentiality.
Commitment to the work and the mission of the League.
Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office is strongly preferred.
Database experience is preferred.
High school diploma is required.
