Job Summary
The Revenue Cycle Services Division at Michigan Medicine is seeking candidates for the position of Information Planning Manager. We are focused on automating simple and complex processes for our customers using a variety of technologies with the goal of creating efficiencies in a large production operation to enable staff to focus on more complex activities.
The Unit is diverse and collaborative in undertaking multiple projects to enhance and maximize revenue for Michigan Medicine. The position is 100% remote but requires significant interaction with staff and customers via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

Responsibilities*
Manage design, implementation, installation, modification, testing and optimization of revenue cycle applications including Change Health Assurance (aka ePremis) Real Time Eligibility, Robotic Process Automation (Automation Anywhere) and oversight, governance and business operational build in Epic for Reimbursement Contracts. Coordinate upgrades and technical services for Revenue Cycle owned applications. Coordination with HITS, Procurement and Revenue Cycle customers. Administrative and functional management of 3 Business Systems Analysts and one RPA Process Analyst. Coordinates daily activities, responsible for hire, fire, evaluation, and training of employees. Responsible for capacity management of team and their project responsibilities. Responsible for planning, scheduling, budget impacts, proposals to evaluate new software or services from vendors. Responsible for vendor relationships Implementation and management of new automation projects, including creating project plan, project status updates and other relevant documentation, facilitates meetings, follow up on action items and assist with change management.
Required Qualifications*
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Health Care Administration, Information Technology or equivalent Exceptional organizational, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to work and build professional relationships with faculty and staff at all levels. Ability to manage complex and sometimes conflicting demands. Experience with complex software applications, Epic or other EMRs Strong analytical skills Experience managing projects
Desired Qualifications*
Experience in a Revenue Cycle operational area including Billing, Coding, Revenue Integrity, or Analytics Experience managing medium to large enterprise projects. Experience with Automation Anywhere or other RPA software
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
