Scope:

Performs a variety of testing and troubleshooting on various instruments, RF components, sub-assemblies, SMT circuit cards for integration into full hardware systems.

Job Description Level 2:

  • Read blueprints, wiring diagrams and schematic drawings. Use manufacturing and engineering instructions for testing assembled electronic units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components.
  • Test electronic units and products, using standard and custom test equipment. Document and evaluate results to determine acceptable versus faulty performance, Repair and adjust as required to standard troubleshooting techniques.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and calibration of equipment and systems.
  • Assemble, test, and maintain circuitry or electronic components according to manufacturing and engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronics, using hand and power tools.
  • Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components, using hand tools and soldering iron.
  • Write reports and record data on testing techniques, laboratory equipment, and specifications to assist engineers.
  • Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment
  • Records and analyzes data results from standard test routine formats and provides results to product and engineering teams.

· Troubleshoot RF based instrumentation equipment in the appropriate frequency range using standard RF instruments (spectrum analyzers, signal generators, current probe)

  • Diligent in following ESD protocols
  • Interpret data, basic understanding of DC and RF data: voltage, current, power, insertion loss, and return loss
  • Works well as an equal in a technician team and demonstrates team leadership skills
  • Good computer skills using various software programs (Microsoft office, Factory test codes)
  • Good planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines
  • Works well in both in high-production, as well as low-volume / high-mix environments
  • Must maintain a clean safe work area compliant with ISO procedures, policies, and regulations
  • Ask questions when instructions are not understood or unclear

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of formal electronic mechanical assembly
  • Requires the ability to read and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams
  • Excellent communications skills; computer proficiency; good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Assembly and RF Test skills required
  • Works well as an equal in a technician team and demonstrates team leadership skills
  • Excel formulas, PowerPoint simple programming skills
  • Good computer skills using various software programs (Microsoft office, Factory test codes)
  • Good planning, organization, and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet established deadlines

Pay: $51,000.00 - $54,000.00 per year
