Summary:
For our York, PA Manufacturing facility, Microtrac Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to be responsible for various accounting activities.
The Accounting Specialist should possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be flexible with assigned duties to assist the accounting department with day-to-day responsibilities, month-end closing activities, and projects as needed. Ultimately, this position will help run and improve our company’s accounting functions and maintain a great working environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Bi-weekly payroll
- Address employees’ queries
- Assist in reconciling insurance bills to payroll
- Process AP invoices and prepare month end reconciliation
- Process and distribute AR invoices and reconcile sales to invoicing
- Perform misc. clerical duties
- Prepare bank deposits
- Assist customer service agent with collections
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Minimum Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 1-2 years accounting experience required
- Excellent Computer Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Analytical skills preferred
- Fluent Microsoft Excel skills
- Sage Intacct experience is a plus
- Paychex and Avalara experience is a plus.
