This position is responsible for coordinating library operations to facilitate the delivery of excellent customer service to library members and other users.  
 
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
This position is primarily accountable for:
  •  Ensuring patrons are members of the library and that dues are current prior to allowing the use of the library or receiving library services;
  •  Preparing library document check-outs for members, entering basic data for individual document identification on the check-out sheet and ensuring the documents are eligible for check-out;
  •  Accurately accounting for documents being checked-in/returned;
  • Ensuring returned documents from check-outs and internally-pulled library documents placed on top of file cabinets are filed/refiled accurately and on a timely basis and the library is kept as neat and organized as possible;
  • Filing documents new to the library received from external sources including Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC) logs, and donations.
  •  Assisting with retrieving, or shipping to members requested information (logs, scout tickets, etc.);
  •  Assisting members with the retrieval of online production data through subscribed sources;
  •  Assisting members with use of equipment (copiers, scanners, plotters, printers, etc.);
 
Additional Duties and Requirements:
  • Ensure library patrons are greeted in a friendly, professional and welcoming manner as they enter the library.
  • Getting new OCC logs from IT staff for filing.
  • Assisting CEO with opening daily mail & keeping a log of incoming money.
  • Manage library database to ensure membership data is current & available
  • Manage email address list for library members – send out library-related information
  • Post announcements on Linked In and Facebook
  • Other duties, as assigned.
 
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associates degree required.  Bachelor’s degree preferred. 
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an office or library environment preferred.                                                                 
Computer / Equipment Skills: Proficiency with Outlook and Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel required, and PowerPoint, preferred), with ability to learn and be proficient in others, as needed.  Ability to learn and be proficient in the operation of a variety of office equipment (Printers, Copiers, Scanners, Plotters, etc.).
