- Five years or more successful teaching experience
- Knowledge of MTSS
- Training in de-escalation strategies and CHAMPS
- Successful K-5 teaching experience, school social work experience or school counseling
- Michigan certificated teacher
- Demonstrated ability to create positive relationships amongst students, staff and families
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with others and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated understanding of Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and its framework.
- Demonstrated life-long learner.
- Plans and provides appropriate behavior support
- Provides intervention for elementary school-wide PBIS strategies to students in and staff
- Facilitates small group interventions with an SEL focus for students
- Provides direct instruction with Tier 1 Second Step program in classrooms
- Works with building teams to support the implementation of PBIS
- Supports building-level initiatives and extracurricular learning opportunities
- Use data to drive instruction including to prescribe and provide intervention for students at all levels
- Writes and oversees the implementation of behavior plans
- Effective communication with parents, students and staff
- Participates in problem solving process in regards to behavioral support
- Daily, in-person attendance is required
- Other duties as assigned.

STEA Agreement currently provides annual salary of $44,037 Bachelor's Degree (no previous teaching experience); $51,537 Master Degree, (no previous teaching experience).
