Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department and ensure efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the service department
- Provide exceptional customer service and address customer inquiries and concerns
- Oversee automotive technicians and service advisors to ensure quality workmanship
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and training as needed
- Maintain accurate records of service orders, invoices, and inventory
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and regulations in the service department
- Collaborate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts
- Monitor service KPIs and implement strategies for continuous improvement
Skills:
- Proficient in customer service practices within the automotive industry
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair techniques
- Familiarity with air brake systems, auto estimating, oil changes, shocks, struts, and other automotive services
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand technical information
- Prior experience in auto service management is preferred
