JOB DESCRIPTION
The Midas Store Manager is responsible for business operations and store performance (safety, efficiencies, and profit/loss accountability). He or she promotes customer satisfaction and retention and growth of existing and new business. In addition, the Store Manager owns overall operations in terms of cost control, inventory management, environmental compliance, and most importantly, safety. He or she provides strong and consistent leadership to cultivate and maintain a harmonious, collaborative, and highly productive work culture.
We are looking for a seasoned manager with an entrepreneurial spirit who will assume responsibility for operations, financial performance, morale, and growth initiatives. The ideal candidate for this position has a college degree or some coursework (preferred), three years of experience in the automotive repair business, some supervisory/management/mentor experience, a continuous improvement background, P&L experience, and exceptional interpersonal skills. Fluent English speaking and writing skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruits, hires, trains, motivates, reviews, schedules, coaches, and fires employees
- Grows the business to achieve targeted profitable revenues
- Manages overall operations to minimize loss through continuous improvement and efficiency gains
- Ensures environmental compliance
- Ensures all equipment is in proper working order and operated following all safety regulations
- Maintain a 'white glove' facility
- Establish marketing initiatives according to corporate and local promotions
- Oversees inventory control
- Promotes customer service and satisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED required; some post high school education/training or a degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in an automotive repair business/environment
- Skills and experience in supervising/managing staff
- Strong financial acumen and P&L accountability experience
- Strong computer and internet skills, including POS systems
- Excellent customer service focus
- Impressive work ethic
- Exceptional listener and communicator (verbal and written)
- Highly collaborative nature
- Willing to accept full accountability for operational and financial performance
- Must be able to operate both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles
- Must have a current and unrestricted driver's license
