What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Middleby Professional Innovation Kitchen?
The MIK Dishwasher works closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef to clean all pots, pans, dishes, glasses and maintain the facilities at the Middleby innovation showroom kitchen located in Lewisville, Texas. The facilities will operate Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm in addition to some after-hour events. Key aspects of this position include cleaning and protecting all Middleby assets while cleaning, floors, walls, restrooms, windows, cooking and beverage equipment, removing trash, maintaining organized storage areas and communicating all supply needs for facility maintenance and operations.
Responsibilities
- Represent Middleby as a well-groomed hospitable, knowledgeable and professional employee
- Learns all innovation kitchen procedures and equipment cleaning.
- Washing dishes, pots & pans as needed.
- Appropriately organizes and stores all assets.
- Communicates all supply needs to the Chef de Cuisine in a timely manner.
- Reliably reports to work as scheduled based on volume of business (flexible schedule required)
- Changes water filters as needed based on training
- Cleans hand sinks, floors and drains regularly to maintain the highest showroom floor appearance
- Changes fryer oil as needed based on training
- Deep cleans equipment as needed
- Practices safety at all times when working with hot equipment, cleaning chemicals and wet floors, including using the correct safety equipment, (nonslip shoes, apron, glasses, gloves, mask, etc)
- Practices the highest personal standards, maintaining a professional appearance with regard to uniform and hygiene
- Maintains all flooring in a clean visually appealing manner
- Keeps all glass and windows spotless
- Changes light bulbs as needed
- Cleans and shines all equipment to showroom appearance quality
- Cleans and maintains all restrooms to the highest level, checking them several times daily
- Helps to create and then works by a standard cleaning and maintenance schedule
Qualifications
- High School Graduate/GED
- Ability to read and appropriately interpret equipment operation manuals schedules, procedure manuals, etc.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to utilize software programs such as MS Office
- Ability to write lists for supplies needed
- Ability to speak effectively to coworkers and guests
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.75 - $15.00 per hour
