What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stable Hand position at Middleton Place?
Provide care and maintenance of a variety of animals in the Living History Stableyards at Middleton Place National Historic Landmark
Key areas of responsibility
- General care and feeding of horses and other Stableyard animals
- Cross-train to assist in general barn maintenance
- Perform other duties as needed including work with horses, water buffalo, sheep, hogs, and more.
Qualifications
- Experience working in a stable or barn environment or with animals is a plus, but not required. We will train you.
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to work as a team
- Stamina for working outside in changing weather conditions
Terms of employment
- FULL-TIME with flexible schedule (weekends required)
- Must have a valid SC driver’s license and reliable transportation
