Midland Care is Now Hiring a Meals on Wheels Cook!
Midland has new openings for our amazing Meals on Wheels team. This position will assist the chef in preparing/cooking nutritious food that tastes and looks good which leaves the MOW clients/PACE clients feeling satisfied by the food/meal they received. The Cook is responsible for working with the Chef to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
Our Meals on Wheels serves older adults and homebound in Shawnee, Jefferson and Douglas counties. We deliver hot, nutritious meals daily which can assist people to remain independent in their homes.
Employment Status: Mon-Fri | 6am-3pm
Pay starting at $15/hour (pay is based on requirements and experience)

Qualifications
Required: Ability to attend work on a consistent basis, which includes arriving timely and staying for the full shift per Midland Cares attendance policy. Must enjoy cooking, especially on a large scale and be passionate about producing nutritious and good tasting food. Must possess a valid Kansas or Missouri Drivers License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position. One year of experience in food service, cooking and kitchen duties. Ability to do kitchen math and to read and interpret recipes.
Preferred: Serv-Safe Training Certification. Two or more years of food service and cooking duties.
