Dental Assistant

```Duties```
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing them instruments and materials
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
- Perform basic laboratory duties such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients and answer any questions they may have
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Open Dental)
- Follow proper aseptic techniques to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

```Requirements```
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent experience
- Current CPR certification
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with pediatric dental care is a plus
- Proficiency in taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience with dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling patient inquiries is preferred
- Ability to accurately document medical information in patient records

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
