GENERAL SUMMARY
MidLantic Urology is looking for a highly motivated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. We are a busy practice in Bryn Mawr PA. In order to be a strong fit with our team, we are looking for someone who is confident, a self-starter, and a devoted team member in a fast-paced work environment. This is a full-time position.
PRN= As needed, hours will vary!
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Essential Duties for this position:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures.
- Interview patients to obtain updated medical information and measure their vital signs, weight, and height.
- Collect blood, tissue, or other laboratory specimens; log the specimens; and prepare them for testing.
- Clean and sterilize instruments and dispose of contaminated supplies.
- Perform general office duties, such as answering telephones, taking messages and calling patients with results.
- Prepare patients for and assist the physician with treatments or surgical procedures including but not limited to vasectomy, cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder biopsy (education provided).
- Perform urinalysis, uroflow and bladder scan (education provided).
- Administer medications (oral and injection) as needed (education provided).

Monday to Friday- AS NEEDED! Hours will vary.
Requirements
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Experience and understanding of EHR/EMR systems.
- Operate autoclave and medical equipment (education provided).
- Use general office equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Successful completion of a medical assistant program from an accredited school (preferred, but not necessary).
- At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting (preferred, but not necessary).
- CPR Certified (required by start date).
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
- License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
