At Midway Music Hall, we are Edmonton’s premier live music venue. We are currently hiring Security staff to support our upcoming busy concert season. Exceptional front-line customer service, willing to go above and beyond for both fans and fellow crew members, and possess a positive “can-do” attitude. Job Functions: · Circulate among guests and/or other crew members to preserve safety, order and to protect the venue property. · Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of crew members, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security and safety of the premises. · May write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences. · Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates. · Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas. · Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises. · Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid ProTect security license and first aid certification. Professional level verbal and written communication skills Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure. Possess a strong work ethic with a high sense of responsibility in an ever-changing environment Ability to work independently and within a team to juggle multiple prioritized tasks.
