Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR)
• Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking with attention to dietary constraints
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards
• Ability to be respectful, compassionate, and have strong ethics
• Good time management skills
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of reporting and documentation of services
• Ability to be aware of others’ reactions, needs, and individual differences

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to frequently bend/stoop, reach, balance, push/pull, and lift up to but not limited to 50lbs.
• Occasionally will need to crawl, squat, and kneel
• Must be able to see and hear clearly as well as communicate in English verbally and though writing

Education & Experience:

• Driver's license preferred
• Preferred PCW experience
• Preferred CBRF certification
• Must be able to pass a Wisconsin Caregiver’s background check

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

• Help clients take prescribed medication
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.)
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Perform light housekeeping duties
• Provide client transportation in company vehicles
• Be a pleasant and supportive companion
• Report any unusual incidents
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
