Job Details
Summary of Position:
Responsible for providing general support for warehouse operations performing any combination of tasks needed to complete orders, replenish stock, ship and receive products.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products
- Assist shipping and receiving
- Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area
- Pull small, medium, and large orders from shelves
- Operate and maintain warehouse vehicles and equipment
- Complete order logs into inventory
- Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to organizational standards
- Maintain inventory control by collecting stock location orders, printing request, recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed through a computer
- Assist in counting of physical inventory
- Prepare packages for distribution
- Maintain safe and clean work environment
- Maintain professionalism in the work place
- Perform any other assigned proprietary duties
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to type more than 50 WPM (will complete short typing test upon onsite interview)
- Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
- Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 70 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.)
- Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes.
- Commitment to work additional hours as needed to complete orders received daily
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED (required)
- Prior warehouse experience (required)
- Prior hose assembly experience (highly preferred but not required)
- Forklift experience (preferred but not required)
- Additional power equipment experience (preferred but not required)
