Job Description

We are looking to hire a laser programmer who has a consistent work history.

• Laser Operator Responsibilities: Program the BLM LT8.2 Fiber Laser Tube Cutter using the BLM Artube/Protube software. Must have CAD experience.
• Utilizes Work Orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine job requirements.
• Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
• Program and maintain current file revisions of all client part.
• Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts using CAD/CAM software.
• Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets.
• Consults with management to resolve manufacturing or assembly problems.
• Willingness to actively participate in all aspects of production when and where needed
• Ensure that safe work practices are followed and adhered to.

Requirements:

• Ability to read and translate blueprints and technical drawings.
• Basic understanding of mechanical processes.
• Ability to work as part of a team and individually on projects.
• A keen eye for detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Vocational training or certification from an accredited organization, or combination of schooling and relevant work experience
