Pratt & Whitney Engineering Support to Operations Engineering (ESTO) is seeking a proactive, goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work for the ESTO organization as an Integrated Product Team Leader in a role based in Columbus, Georgia. In this role you will be responsible for project management for the F100, F135 and F119 compressor blades, vanes and disks working directly with the Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPT) and the Engineering Support to Operations (ESTO) organizations including West Palm Beach Florida along with quality and manufacturing engineering teams based at Columbus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements
  • Support machine all over (MAO) activities on military blades and vanes to reduce nonconformance's
  • Facilitating project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment and completion with overall project objectives.
  • Be the liaison between Columbus, Georgia and West Palm Beach, Florida ESTO organizations
  • Track and report progress and ensure that established targets are met.
  • Plan and manage budgets for all military hardware and tasks.
  • Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management.
  • Identifying and addressing project problems and recommending resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Work closely with the IPT members and technical experts on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.
  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.
  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Practices and processes are following applicable employment and labor law, including EEO/AAP along with export compliance

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering
  • 5 years of relevant experience or advance degree in a related field and, a minimum 3 years experience
  • U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts
  • Less than 5% travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills with the ability to develop effective working relationships
  • Exposure to project, cost, and schedule management helpful
  • Possess excellent judgement, professional maturity, and cultural awareness
  • Analytical skills and ability to provide creative solutions
  • Participation in process improvement efforts helpful
