Position Overview:
We seek a detail-oriented and organized Registrar to oversee the management of student records and related administrative processes. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for students, faculty, and staff regarding registration, records maintenance, and academic policies. Your commitment to accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional customer service will contribute to a positive student experience.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the administration and management of student records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update student records, including personal information, transcripts, transfer credits, and enrollment status changes.
- Generate class schedules, academic calendars, and other relevant documentation for students and faculty.
- Coordinate the evaluation and transfer of credits for incoming and outgoing students, ensuring alignment with institutional policies and accreditation standards.
- Generate official transcripts, certifications, and academic reports as required, following established procedures.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of student information systems and databases.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local student records and privacy regulations, such as FERPA.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- At least 1-year experience in an admissions and records office setting is preferred; however, a proven track record of superior customer service is also acceptable.
- Prior experience in a registrar's office or student records management is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of academic policies, regulations, and accreditation standards in higher education.
- Familiarity with student information systems (SIS) and proficiency in using relevant software applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and supporting student success.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, interpreting and applying policies and regulations.
