About the role:
The Intake Specialist at MilitaryLaw.com is more than a support role; it’s the backbone of our operations and a launchpad of growth and opportunity. This full-time position requires expert attention to detail, excitement to embrace new technology, ability to communicate easily, and most importantly, a drive to learn and grow. You will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of our firm’s mission, supporting our legal team in their relentless pursuit of positive outcomes for U.S. service members.
What you’ll do:
- Technology and Equipment Management: Ensure you are fully equipped with the necessary technology from day one to operate in a fully remote law firm, demonstrating a proactive approach to your role.
- Professional & Private Home Office: Ensure a distraction-free, camera-ready professional appearance and positive attitude from your home office. Join a high-performing team and show our clients the highest level of care.
- Communication Mastery: Handle sensitive information with utmost confidentiality, maintaining clear and responsible communication channels within and outside the firm.
- Calendar Coordination: Coordinate appointments across time zones and manage calendars to optimize use of time.
- Qualify Leads: Assess and qualify incoming leads to ensure they meet our criteria.
- Answer All Phone Calls: Answer all calls and record accurate notes.
- Invoicing: Manage and execute invoicing tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Onboarding Clients: Assist with onboarding newly hired clients.
- Administrative Tasks: Handle various administrative duties as they arise, ensuring smooth office operations.
What we’re looking for:
- Educational Background: High school diploma or higher required.
- Military Experience: Must have completed an initial term of enlistment in the military, from any branch, without significant breaks in employment. No specific prior career field is required, but experience in any of the following categories is desirable: paralegal, personnel/human resources, or law enforcement. Candidates with this experience will have an advantage in understanding and supporting our military clients and will be able to learn military legal terms from other branches quickly.
- Proofreading and Writing Skills: Demonstrates strong drafting and proofreading abilities with attention to detail in grammar and punctuation. Maintains high standards of written communication, ensuring emails and documents are error-free and professionally presented. Produces clear, concise, and accurate written products that reflect the quality of our firm.
- Communication Skills: Shows exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal; capable of fostering strong relationships within and outside the firm.
- Exceptional Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate easily and clearly, with an engaging, empathetic, and winsome personality for phone interactions.
- Effective Call Handling: Proficiency in managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate personnel.
- Remote Work Requirements: We are a bring-your-own device, remote law firm. You will work from home, but you must come equipped with a modern computer and smartphone (both less than 4 years old) with working webcam, working headphones with microphone, and high-speed internet connection.
