What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Specialist - Days position at Milk Specialties Global (new colors & logo)?
We are currently seeking a QA Specialist to join the Norfolk, NE team. The shift for this position is Days, 6am-6pm, with every other weekend off.
Pay: $25.50 per hour
Responsibilities
- The QA Specialist has the responsibility for performing analytical procedures on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products as well as assisting with investigation and resolution of operational product issues.
- Communicate with Management when ingredients or products do not meet specifications. Assist with product problem investigation and resolution as well as customer concern reviews.
- Complete audits of manufacturing floor including sanitation, SOP's, and GMP compliance. Report results.
- Manage lab database tracking all daily lab analysis for both finished products and ingredients. Create/develop reports as needed from system.
- Back-up for Quality Manager, Lab Supervisors, and Lab Techs as needed.
Requirements
- Previous laboratory and manufacturing QA experience, preferably in a food grade manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and computer software applications.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
