The Milken Institute is seeking a Finance Director to support the Milken Institute. This position will report to the Santa Monica office.

Responsibilities*

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Prepare, review and record Investment transactions and perform analysis of results
- Manage day to day cash needs and manage cash flows as needed
- Provide variance analysis and explanations for month over month, year over year, and ad hoc fluctuation requests
- Assist in preparation of necessary annual audit and tax filings, including Form 990 IRS filings
- Liaise with department and Center heads to review monthly financial results and prepare adjustments as needed
- Prepare budgets for consolidated financial planning and analysis, and aid Center and Department heads in the preparation of budget separate budget / fiscal year periods
- Prepare budget to actual analysis and provide support for department analysis
- Serve as back-up for other members of the accounting team
Requirements
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, internships included
- Advanced knowledge of Netsuite ERP and Salesforce CRM and currently using production version of Netsuite ERP
- Strong organizational skills
- Capability of maintaining strict confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
- Advanced excel skills

This position will be working a hybrid model, where you will be expected to report to your respective office location 2-3 days a week, this is subject to change.
