The Milken Institute is seeking a Finance Director to support the Milken Institute. This position will report to the Santa Monica office.

Responsibilities*

Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

  • Prepare, review and record Investment transactions and perform analysis of results
  • Manage day to day cash needs and manage cash flows as needed
  • Provide variance analysis and explanations for month over month, year over year, and ad hoc fluctuation requests
  • Assist in preparation of necessary annual audit and tax filings, including Form 990 IRS filings
  • Liaise with department and Center heads to review monthly financial results and prepare adjustments as needed
  • Prepare budgets for consolidated financial planning and analysis, and aid Center and Department heads in the preparation of budget separate budget / fiscal year periods
  • Prepare budget to actual analysis and provide support for department analysis
  • Serve as back-up for other members of the accounting team

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience, internships included
  • Advanced knowledge of Netsuite ERP and Salesforce CRM and currently using production version of Netsuite ERP
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Capability of maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities
  • Advanced excel skills

This position will be working a hybrid model, where you will be expected to report to your respective office location 2-3 days a week, this is subject to change.
