Position Summary
Motivated CNC/Manual Machinist needed to set up and operate Multi-Axis CNC lathe (DOOSAN), PROTO TRAK Lathes, Engine Lathes, Milling Machines (PROTO TRACK), and Bridgeport. Regular hours are between 7:00 am and 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend hours are available and are required as needed. Opportunity for travel to serve our customers onsite.
Qualifications and Experience
· 7 years' experience is strongly preferred.
· Must be able to read and understand blueprints with an understanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions (GD&T).
· Mastercam programming with Proto Track control required.
· Experience using Haas & Doosan multi-axis machines preferred.
· High level of understanding for precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not be limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators, and dial bores.
· Experienced in using and/or programming manual, semi-automated or automated tools and machines (lathes, Mills, grinders etc.)
· Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines. Should be able to assist entry level machinists with the setup and operation of their machines.
· Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry required.
· Knowledge of various metal properties and machinability.
· High School diploma or equivalence required.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Ensure that standard procedures are followed in all aspects of work including machine setup and operation, process verification, product inspection, documentation, and material handling machine downtime.
· Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Willing to run multiple machines independently or in a team environment.
