Currently, MPG is seeking to hire an experienced Buyer for our location at 9301 Globe Center Dr, Morrisville, NC 27560. If you possess the required skills and experience as outlined below, please submit your resume for consideration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates and communicates effectively with internal stakeholders as well as with external suppliers and vendors to support the needs of customers
• Monitors inventory quantities and consumption rates to determine reorder points and ensure continually sufficient materials for all processes
• Maintains communication with all personnel to determine purchasing needs for their specific processes
• Negotiates with vendors to maintain quality and ensure timely delivery
• Determines optimal economic order quantity based on discounts, inventory costs, and order costs
• Schedules quantity and timing of different orders to coordinate with shipping department schedules and staffing
• Communicates promptly and effectively with Accounts Payable to ensure that all invoices are paid in a timely manner
• Creates and sends purchase orders to vendors and Accounts Payable
• Provides assistance in other areas of purchasing supply chain when necessary
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field a plus
• Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience purchasing and planning in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Proficient in MS Office and working with MIS Software; Intermediate Excel preferred
• Ability to work extended hours when required to meet company's needs
• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Print experience a plus
