MBS Solutions has the immediate need of a Saw Operator Helper, in Wellsville/Dover, PA area.
JOB TITLE - Saw Helper-Finishing Department
INDUSTRY - Aluminum Specialist and Manufacturing
PAY RATE -
- 1st Shift 7AM to 7pm
LOCATION:
Wellsville/Dillsburg/Lewisberry, PA Area
SHIFT:
- 1st Shift | Rotating Schedule
- 4 days one week, w/ weekend off; Three days 2nd week, working weekend. Every other weekend off! Schedule is completed for entire year.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Saw Helper will be assisting the saw operator and engaged in cutting aluminum extrusions by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES | RESPONSIBILITIES: (Includes but not limited to the following)-
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Lifts and positions extruded pieces on table prior to cutting.
- Holds tape and assists in setting stop for proper cut length.
- Loads, stacks, and transports cut pieces and work in process by hand.
- Picks up and hauls scrap from work areas and records the count.
- Help pack, inspect, and remove bundles from table with wheels or hand truck.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area including general housekeeping of the work area upon completion of a repair.
- Assists with general housekeeping of the Cutback area.
- Performs inspection and maintains quality standards.
- Completes any other necessary paperwork or documentation.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures or rulers.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The employee is required to work a scheduled 8-hour shift
- The employee will be regularly required to talk and hear; frequently required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms and climb or balance.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee will frequently lift and or move up to 50lbs; Occasionally lift and/or move up to LP's.
- The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
