PURPOSE: To tie new warp to existing pattern.
- Obtain next Lay In machine (FIFO) Barco.
- Obtain tie-in equipment, frame and machine.
- Go to assigned machine.
- Make Barco declaration for tie back arrival.
- Clamp new warp yarn with aluminum warp clamp.
5. Position frame at back of Sulzer or Picanol Machine.
6. Pull warp yarn over tie-in frame.
7. Clamp warp yarn on back rail of frame.
8. Comb warp yarn from back rail to front rail to align
ends.
9. Clamp warp yarn on front rail.
10. Brush yarn between rails.
11. Pull pattern yarn over frame.
12. Check lease quality - use black sticks on all filament
warps.
13. Repair any lease defects.
- Run lease strings through lease sticks.
- Pull lease sticks through pattern.
- Put correct selectors in tying machine.
- Place tying machine on frame.
- Pull lease strings through machine.
- Plug in machine, turn machine on.
- Set machine speed.
- Tie pattern while keeping focused on the yarn to make sure machine is tying correctly. Check knots to be sure they are holding.
- Finish tying warp.
- Remove tying machine.
- Unclamp frame.
- Remove frame.
- Tighten warp tension.
- Pull tied warp over through drop wires, heddles, and reed.
- Repair any broken ends.
- Check number of crosses and if number of crosses are greater than two, repeat the procedure to retie warp.
- Replace warp step-up to the machine. Some machines have a pin securing the step. Replace pin.
- Make Barco declaration for tech warp start up.
- Sign and date warp ticket, record the number of doubles on machine, and place ticket in the warp ticket slot on the machine
- Repeat Step 1 to find next machine.
34. Fill out FMWR31 and MIC 25428.
