Closing Date: February 26th, 2023     Workforce Training and Development Specialist Department of Health and Human Services Hourly Range:  $24.71 - $37.30     Job Summary:  THREE Workforce Training and Development Specialist opportunities are available that will support workforce training and development across the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). DHHS includes Behavioral Health Services, Aging and Disabilities Services, Housing Services, Children Youth and Family Services, and Veterans Services. Under the direction of the DHHS Director of Training and Talent Development and the Director of Professional Training Programs the Workforce Training and Development Specialists will develop, design, deliver and/or facilitate various types of trainings (e.g., onboarding, regulatory, certification, skill-based, mindset and practice, internships) for DHHS employees, contracted employees, students/interns, community-based providers.   Job Duties:  Design and develop training materials - Design training materials to address organizational learning needs. Prepare and distribute training aids, handouts and/or evaluation forms to assess quality and participant reaction. Propose and/or modify existing new training initiatives as needed. Maintain up to date on best practices - Maintain a working knowledge of new techniques, developments, and best practices in the delivery of training content via various platforms, including in-person, blended, online, and virtual. Collaborate with subject matter experts on the creation and maintenance of content. Training delivery and group facilitation - Professionally deliver training topics and facilitate group interaction to maximize learning experiences.Learning Management System (LMS) Co-Administrator: Assist in the general administration of the LMS as needed. This includes importing DHHS created content and identifying the correct assignments of the content.Perform all other duties as assigned.  Minimum Qualifications: Current resident of the state of Wisconsin. Possess a bachelor’s degree with at least one (1) year of work experience in human services, government, healthcare, or a closely related field OR a high school diploma/GED with 4-years of equivalent work experience. Candidates should have intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Outlook 365, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams). Intermediate skills with visual graphics and social media applications. Preferred Experience and Education: Bachelor’s Degree in human services field or another closely related degree. Ideal candidates should have advanced computer skills. Professional experience working in government and with the public. Basic knowledge of audiovisual equipment, Electronic Health Records, and Learning Management Systems. Additional Skills and Abilities: Skilled at reading, comprehending, analyzing, and writing reports, short correspondence, and memos; able to prepare and/or effectively present written communication which pertain to controversial and complex topics to internal and external groups. Ability to conceptualize, be creative and problem solve, the ability to maintain and continue working relationships which can have a significant effect on the success of the organization.  Note: THE ORIGINAL APPLICATION is open to current residents of the State of Wisconsin.
