Under the direction of the General Manager, the Assistant Clinic Manager (AGM) is responsible for MIND 24-7 location(s) and ensures that daily operations are provided in accordance with our clinical and operational model. This may include ensuring all staff receive initial and ongoing training to support skills, overseeing the coordination of care, maintaining appropriate staffing levels, and directing patient flow. The AGM will work within a multidisciplinary team made up of Patient Liaisons, Patient Care Coordinators, Patient Navigators, Nurses, Providers, Therapists, Managers, and Supervisors/Leads. The Assistant General Manager ensures that all policies and procedures are followed including but not limited to risk management, health and safety, and quality management best practices.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Manages multidisciplinary teams, including the direct supervision of personnel directly assigned to the Assistant General Manager by the General Manager.
- Assists in staffing of multidisciplinary teams and direct daily tasks. Works in collaboration with the General Manger and the scheduling department to ensure the site(s) is staffed appropriately.
- Responsible for being the onsite leader of a location and overseeing operations and workflows.
- Participates, at the direction of the General Manager, as appropriate in the development of operational workflows for all relevant programs, staffing, training and linkage to EMR and Billing operations.
- Ensures daily staff and provider compliance in following new and established workflows.
- Manages daily patient throughput, including the assigning of patients to providers and staff as needed.
- Collaborates, under the direction of the General Manager, with the leadership team to identify opportunities to improve current systems and processes, and/or areas of potential savings.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Maintains daily operations by initiating, coordinating, and ensuring the compliance of program, operational, personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintains communication and relationships between medical staff, other department staff and leadership team by attending meetings and coordinating interdepartmental functioning in support of the mission and goals of the organization.
- Will attend supervision sessions as required.
- Will complete all other required trainings as assigned.
EXPECTATIONS
- Responsible for the efficiency of daily patient throughput and directly staff tasks to including assigning patients to providers and staff as needed.
- Assess the ongoing arrival of patients to the clinic and ensures efficient coordination of car, including leveraging tele-health services.
- Demonstrate competency in skill observation, and performance as assessed by direct supervisor to ensure competency within position.
- 100% completion of required supervision sessions and assigned trainings.
- Demonstrates and fosters teamwork by assisting peers and engaging regularly with multidisciplinary teams.
- Displays effective communication when working with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Effectively delegates tasks to team members and ensures team is knowledgeable of expectations and plan for patients.
- Maintains departmental goals of door to service time is less than 30 minutes
- Ensure medical screenings are completed on patients arriving at the clinic within 30 minutes of arrival. Escalating concerns to the nurses and providers as needed.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory Functions:
- Assigned responsibilities for the daily operations of the clinic as described above.
- Manages direct reports and oversees the multidisciplinary team on duty in such a manner as to increase operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Communicates to subordinates clearly regarding job responsibilities, milestones and targets in a manner which empowers them to be successful in their roles
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma
- At least 3 years of psychiatric, behavioral health, or relevant experience
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience
- Unrestricted license as Registered Professional Nurse through the state Board of Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in applicable field
- Leadership Experience: 2 years
- 2 years of crisis related experience working in behavioral health
- Must have a Level-1 Fingerprint Clearance Card or have the ability to obtain one through DPS.
- Certified training (Safe Clinch, CPR First Aid, therapeutic options, etc.)
