The Role

MindEdge's Managing Editor (ME) leads the editorial team's creation of engaging and effective online courses and simulations. The successful candidate will have experience managing editorial projects across the project lifecycle, including managing staff to ensure adherence to editorial guidelines, accessibility standards, and approved styles. The ME is also responsible for editorial team training to ensure consistent content development practices and high quality assurance outcomes. As a member of the leadership team, the ME is responsible for collaborating and advising on large account projects, editorial strategy, roadmap planning, and instructional design. This role requires occasional meetings with staff and the leadership team in the company's headquarters in Waltham, MA. As such, applicants should be commutable to Waltham, MA.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in English, Journalism or similar degree
  • Teaching experience (preferably online instruction
  • Understanding of current instructional design methodologies
  • Experience managing teams of writers/editors
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentations
  • Familiarity with AP Stylebook, academic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Staff are able to work remotely for the majority of their working time. Time spent in the office requires sign-in and affirmation that staff are healthy and, if unvaccinated, have tested negative on the day of their office visit.
