The Job
Assist team in developing short & long-term global strategies, business plans and meeting revenue goals
Oversee day to day management of licensees/business segments to proactively drive revenue, publishing plans, marketing, promotional and retail plans
Identify and support licensees marketing plans and retail opportunities working with internal stakeholders
Identify, evaluate, and help execute new business initiatives, projects, white space opportunities
Assist with licensee communication and deliverables to finance
Communicate and summarize important licensee information - retail, marketing, franchise, opportunities
Pitch potential new licensees and new product, marketing, or synergy opportunities to existing licensees
Partner with Franchise, Creative, Editorial/Production, Retail, Legal, Finance, Accounting, other LOB's
Help manage 3rd party collaboration and joint business planning (DC, LEGO etc…)
Work with Editorial/Production and Creative on execution of proper format approach - demo, positioning, marketing of individual titles
Spokesperson for business at meetings and develop, collaborate, and deliver presentations
Identify and apply competitive and industry key learnings and trends including data analytics
Interface with senior management providing business updates and presentations
The Essentials
Experience in Licensing industry/acumen with background in Publishing preferred
Marketing and Retail experience welcome
BA/BS degree in business, marketing or related field
Proven ability to assist with strategic and operational plans
Proven financial responsibility and accountability for revenue
Strong team player, independent worker, creative thinker, takes initiative, takes direction
Ability to organize, schedule, multi-task, and work effectively including attention to detail
Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively cross-functionally and with senior management
Effective written and oral communication skills
Proficient and varied computer software knowledge required (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to read and understand contracts
Knowledge of industry and retail landscape
