Education
The salary range offered for this role is USD $90,720-97,565. The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company’s performance and their own individual performance.

About This Role
Perform a variety of engineering duties in the design modification of established systems processes or adaptation of a part of a major engineering project.

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
- Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for a variety of projects and activities. Engineer and devise new approaches to problems encountered. Work requires originality and judgment in the independent evaluation and development of optimal resolution for problems.
- Plan, manage and conduct surveys, tests, or investigations, interpret results, and prepare recommendations, summaries, schedules, and cost estimates; meet with representatives of other departments to coordinate planning and scheduling activities.
- Perform work which involves conventional engineering practice but includes a large variety of complex features, such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of standard materials, and difficult coordination requirements.
- Schedule and coordinate the work of technicians in order to complete work on time and within budget parameters.

- Minimum requirement: B.S. degree in Engineering and 3 years of experience in a specialty area are necessary.
- Mining or heavy mineral industry experience required.
- Requires technical communication skills.
- Position based in United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County Colorado.
- Ability to alter work schedule when require.
- Must be able to work at high altitude.
