SUMMARY
Under general supervision, assists Community Education Programs with maintaining information systems and developing web-based training/e-learning opportunities. Work with the community and staff to promote Life-Long learning for all residents. This position reports directly to a Supervisor.

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Coordinate with Community Education AE Program Managers to develop e-learning opportunities for staff development.Support with Microsoft Teams trainings and implementation across all Adult Education programs (as needed)
Update staffing shifts in Microsoft Teams
Onboard new LSS staff on information systems pertinent to performing their duties
Support with maintaining web-content on department website (as needed)
Support with marketing Adult Education programming on social-media outlets
Support with running reports and cleaning data (as needed)
Analyze and develop systems of operation to support program efficiency
Provide computer and networking support to students and staff as needed.
Provides general office and administrative support to Adult Education program.
Assists in administrative functions, including registration, testing, and maintaining records.
Assists AE manager with data and reporting systems; program evaluation, customer services and compliance with quality and safety standards
Assists with a variety of Adult Education programs, student services, community services, special assignments, and special events.
Communicates with learners, and staff to convey pertinent information while maintaining confidentiality of personal information.
Comfortable using technology to organize and deliver school programs and services.
Maintains absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, records and MPS information.Other duties or tasks may be assigned on an as-needed basis
At times may be required to work outside normal business hours and work extended hours to accomplish the requirements of the position.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required qualifications include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Service, Psychology, or a related field; AND three (3) years of demonstrated educational support experience in an urban educational environment, including group facilitation and conflict resolution; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by Human Resources.
Knowledge of local community resources and community services programs
Experience working with information systems
Principles of record keeping and records management.
Successful experience, working with adults in an education setting
Preferred qualifications include:
Experience working with online learning platforms, and with students with low digital literacy skills
Ability to effectively address issues related to learner persistence and overcoming barriers
Experience in Adult Basic Education programming
Experienced and comfortable with advising adult learners
Familiarity with the Adult Education student management system
Skill in
Working independently
Competent and confident digital literacy skills
Data-minded and detail-oriented; minimum of basic knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability to create, learn, adapt, and improve systems
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Strong organizational skills
Strong spoken and written English communication skills
Working conditions
Requires flexible work schedule to serve multiple programs at different sites and time (including some evenings and Saturday’s as needed)
