The City of Andover, MN (pop. 30,000 ) is accepting applications for the position of full-time Mechanic. This position performs skilled and semi-skilled work maintaining City vehicles and mechanical equipment. Other duties as required.
Minimum qualifications include specialized training in mechanics, maintenance management, or a closely related field and 3 years of related experience. Valid State Driver's License Class B with CDL and tanker and airbrake endorsement or ability to obtain a Class A with endorsements within six (6) months. Ability to obtain a Minnesota State DOT Inspector Certification within 6 months of employment. Desired qualifications include completion of a 1- year program in automotive and/or diesel maintenance with 5 years of related experience. ASE Certification preferred.

Starting Pay Rate: $27.48/hour
Full range: $27.48-$35.83/hour
