TITLE: Trained Medication Aide (TMA)
REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing and Licensed Charge Nurse
Job Summary: Function as team leader in assuring that all cares are completed in such a way as to provide quality care. Administer medications according to Minnewaska Lutheran Home policy for TMA.
Qualifications: NA/R qualifications. TMA course completion. TMA skills passed. Must know, understand and use Standard Precautions. The TMA is also required to have an ability to read, write and speak English, and complete and pass a state required background study form which checks for certain criminal convictions or serious/recurring maltreatment.
