MinnStar Bank N.A. is seeking a Retail Manager. The Retail Manager is responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operational functions for both branches to ensure employees work together effectively and provide excellent customer service. Lead and supervise the frontline team in customer service, teller functions, and new account openings. Perform operational and customer support tasks as needed. These functions will be completed while utilizing your experiences to make sound decisions and ensuring established policies and procedures are followed. This position will require consistent travel between the Mankato and Lake Crystal branches, with a minimum of 2 days in each location weekly.
Duties include:
- Managing and scheduling employees.
- Training and coaching employees.
- Meet with branch staff regularly both 1:1 and in group meetings, communicate procedural and product changes, and resolve issues to optimize branch performance and employee engagement.
- Maintaining knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them.
- Assist customers with transactions processing and seeking to open new accounts.
- Maintain working knowledge of both personal and business online banking products including internet and mobile banking, cash management and electronic payment solutions.
- Ensure ATMs are serviced and operational during business hours and are balanced.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers.
- Join area service clubs and organizations and represent MinnStar Bank at functions and throughout the community.
- Assist with general maintenance of the branch, ensuring safety and security of customers, employees and branch assets by following and enforcing all security procedures.
- Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
- Additional duties as assigned by manager.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 years of finance or banking experience
- 2 years of cash handing experience
- 1 year of leadership/management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of finance or banking and cash handing experience.
- 2 years of leadership/management experience.
- Leadership experience including coaching, training, developing a high performing team.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Self-motived with a high level of initiative and accountability.
- Ability to effectively manage time and competing priorities, exercise independent judgment, and use critical thinking skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems.
