JOB SUMMARY:
The Minot Minotauros of the North American Hockey League are seeking to fill a vacancy for the position of athletic trainer, which will report to the Manager of the Trinity Health Sports Medicine Department. This position is intended for experienced and entry-level candidates who are seeking experience at the Junior Hockey level working with an athlete-centered performance care model. This position delivers athletic training services to the NAHL Minot Minotauros Hockey Team. This position will work under the umbrella of the Trinity Health Sports Medicine program.
Athletic trainer is expected to manage potentially catastrophic, acute, and chronic athletic injuries within the scope of practice for athletic training, to include rehabilitation and return-to-play decisions. In addition, this position is expected to collaborate with team physicians and the Trinity Sports Medicine Athletic Training Team.

This is a 12-month, full-time, benefits eligible position that includes a sign-on and relocation package.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Under the supervision of the Manager of Trinity Health Sports Medicine and Team Physician/Medica Director, provide athletic training services to maintain the well-being of NAHL Minot Minotauros Hockey Team along with emergency medical services to manage catastrophic and life-threatening injury at athletic practices/events.
- Maintain comprehensive, accurate medical records. This includes conducting annual physicals and health screening. Additional guidance of rehabilitation plans for the team.
- Communicate with coaches, administrators and Trinity Health Sports Medicine staff regarding an injured athlete's condition to provide assurance and information necessary to facilitate recovery.
- Communicate Team Physicians and other allied health professions regarding a student-athlete's condition to provide appropriate care and prescribed treatment, as well as liaison to access appropriate services to manage the medical needs of athletes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications -
- Graduate from a CAATE accredited Bachelors or Entry-Level Masters education program
- BOC Certified (or eligible)
- North Dakota Licensed Athletic Trainer (or eligible)
- Current CPR/AED certification
Preferred Qualifications -
- Experience collaborating with strength and conditioning coaches for exercise prescription and rehabilitation needs.
- Current strength and conditioning certification from either the NSCA or NASM
