Over 90% of our equipment is sold/purchased through our extensive dealer network and the remainder through national accounts or direct selling. 

As a Purchasing Agent at Minuteman International, you will gain exposure to all aspects of supply chain management. This is an extremely important position as you will be directly involved with sourcing and procuring product for a fast pace manufacturing facility. 

The right individual will be motivated to excel in a business environment driven by customer service excellence. 

Responsibilities:

· Place purchase orders for commodities assigned

· Monitor open orders for expediting or push outs to control inventory levels based on production plan

· Quote new and existing items 

· Negotiate prices, terms and deliveries with vendors

· Review and report on vendor performance

· Control inventory levels based on system reports 

· Communicate material deliveries with production 

· Work with accounts payable to reconcile invoice discrepancies

· Resolve receiving issues

Requirements

· Minimum of 3 years of Purchasing experience (Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required)

· Knowledge of ERP system (SAP a plus)

· Exceptional Organization skills

· Unparalleled Attention to Detail

· Computer knowledge – Outlook, Microsoft Office

· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
