Manufacturer looking to hire a full time, direct hire Materials Manager. This role will manage inventory and purchase of raw materials and other supplies within the operation.
Ideal Skills:
3 years of experience needed
Bachelor's degree preferred
300 employee operation, non-union
Need someone who has been in a manufacturing setting. Must understand flow of material, database management, and product flow out of plant.
1 direct and 15 indirect reports
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Collaborate with other managers to determine supply needs
- Purchase supplies and materials according to specifications
- Coordinate and supervise receiving and warehousing procedures
- Oversee distribution of supplies in the organization
- Control inventory levels and ensure availability of material during emergencies
- Supervise, evaluate and coach subordinates
- Maintain relationships and negotiate with suppliers
- Keep detailed records on procurement activity, materials quantity, specifications etc.
- Assist in forecasting to plan future orders
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
