What you do:
The Dietitian is part of the nutrition team that oversee the nutritional and dietary needs of the residents within Mission Point facilities. They assist in the development of care plans, counseling, coordinating with other team members, and recommendations for diet orders/ nutritional supplementation. The dietitian ensures that nutritional requirements are incorporated into dining services production and operations, and provides overall planning, recommendations, documentation, and control of resident nutritional needs in the facility.
- Consult with physicians and health care personnel to assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop, implement, and document nutrition care plans in PCC and provide nutritional counseling.
- Advise residents and their families on nutritional principles, nutritional intervention plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation.
- Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life.
- Monitor food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
- Perform quality inspections of meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance.
- Advise Food and Nutrition Services Manager and organization on sanitation, safety procedures, budgeting, and planning to assist with the establishment, operation and evaluation of food service facilities and nutrition programs and more.
What you need:
- Must be a Registered Dietitian, or Register Eligible, or possess a Bachelor of Dietetics Degree.
