Job description
Responsible for all aspects of planning the food program including: Purchasing and Inventory Management; Menu Planning; Food Preparation; Staff Supervision; Resident Relations; Government Programs; etc.
Candidate must have High School diploma or equivalent; degree in culinary arts preferred.
Manager's ServSafe Certification or willingness to get one
Cooking skills to include preparing food from scratch and experience in preparing a wide variety of food items; ability to use all kitchen equipment; strong communication skills; sufficient math skills to do recipe conversions, calculate food costs and cost inventory; ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Candidate must have at least three (3) years cooking experience in a dinner cook position or institutional like setting and food service management experience. Knowledge of State and Federal Food regulations a plus. Experience with menu planning and inventory control. A degree in culinary arts is preferred. New ideas and fun creations welcome!
