- $10,000 Sign-on bonus**40 hours per week.
Hours may vary as determined by the Director of Missouri Slope at Home and the needs of the program*QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered North Dakota license.
- PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
- Assess condition of Missouri Slope at Home Clients, coordinate care plans and communicate with Missouri Slope at Home Director, Service Manager, clients, client's families, and oversight agencies.
- Schedule and Conduct Nurse Assistant Training programs.
- Train and provide oversite to all PCA/CNA staff.
- Manage Quality Assurance Improvement Performance (QAPI) program and participate in quarterly QAPI meetings.
- Ensure training requirements are satisfied for all employees through ND Qualified Service Provider program.
- Coordinate Infection Prevention and Control program.
Meet/obtain criteria for QSP nurse Educator including Certified Nurse Aide training.
Valid Driver's License required.

- Coordinate/maintain facility applications for Nurse Aide Training Program with the NDDOH.
- Provide Nurse Aide Training classes as requested by facility.
- Maintain Nurse Aide Training syllabus, class materials, supplies, and space needed for Nurse Aide training.
- Coordinate Nurse Aide practical training.
- Coordinate and conduct PCA/QSP/CNA skills and training to all levels of employees.
- Coordinate, monitor, and analyze Infection Control policies, procedures, and practices.
- Monitor, analyze, intervene, and report on infection control issues for clients and staff.
- Monitor infectious processes experienced by clients and staff. Consult with State Department of Health as needed.
- Complete updates to policy and procedure as needed with a minimum of an annual review.
- Provide information and direction to Missouri Slope at Home staff to facilitate and ensure
- Review and evaluate client incidents and coordinate any procedure changes necessary to promote client safety.
- Attend workshops and meetings related to Missouri Slope at Home programs, staff development, infection control and safety, and any others deemed relevant to the RN position.
- Work with representatives of various agencies (e.g. OSHA, Workers Compensation, Health Department/Aging Services, etc.) to facilitate compliance with rules, regulations, and programs.
- Attend Program meetings, Nursing Department meetings as assigned and other
- Attend continuing education trainings as needed to maintain credentials.
- Is responsible and in charge of all aspects of nursing care for Missouri Slope at Home clients and training staff competencies relating to Certified Nursing Care when appropriate.
- Assessment and assistance with client admissions and schedule.
- Assess/Monitor client's nutritional status & report concerns to family and Missouri Slope at Home Director.
- Maintenance of Care Plan and any relevant medical information with current and accurate documentation utilizing the approved electronic record system.
- Communication with clients and/or family members in a timely manner (e.g. any concerns, changes in condition, care routine, etc.).
- Provide community training of the benefits of the Missouri Slope at Home Program.
- Must be able to stand, walk, talk, and push, pull or lift up to 25lbs up to 50 lbs. as needed. Will 2/26/24 frequently be required to sit at a computer, stand and use all motor function to tend to client needs. This includes the ability to reach, stoop, kneel, bend, squat, crouch, or crawl, and speak the English language.
- Able to complete all tasks of position as outlined. Must be comfortable driving to and from client homes in personal vehicle.
- Will execute duties in Missouri Slope at Home Office Setting, Classroom and the home of the contracted client. Able to independently travel to client's homes, and sometimes drive clients in personal vehicle when necessary.
- Understands proper donning and doffing of protective or safety attire, such as gloves and mask. There will be exposure to hazardous materials including blood borne pathogens or household chemicals which requires knowledge of basic chemical safety/infection prevention. Work could involve exposure to plants, animals, dust, and other allergens within the environment.
