The Facilities Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing the maintenance of the Princeton Junction Headquarters. This candidate should also be comfortable ensuring necessary utilities are working correctly and possess strong organizational skills to keep track of multiple projects at once. This role in the future could support facility-wide procurement initiatives.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Prepares and develops the budget as it relates to expected repairs and or purchases and services for the Princeton Junction Headquarters.
- This position is based on site, five days a week in Princeton Junction, NJ. Will need to be flexible for after hours and weekends at times.
- This role will support all divisions for the Headquarters, Corporate, Products and indirectly the owners of the property as well.
- Reviews purchase orders ensuring current projects remain on budget and investigates discrepancies.
- Look for opportunities to improve safety, current process and minimize maintenance costs.
- Willing to work beyond schedules to resolve problems, projects, and emergency repairs.
- Provide safety leadership for the facility to assure that safe practices are being followed.
- Maintain facility and the grounds of the building both indoor and outdoor.
- Monitor building security system and access codes. Conduct frequent audits of those who are entering/exiting the building.
- Develop standard operation procedures as required for proper operations and continual improvement initiatives.
- Maintains accurate records of maintenance work performed and inventory.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Act as a leader for outside related vendors and contractors.
- Other projects and duties as assigned.
- Oversee the Shipping Department and ensure all shipments are handled properly.
- Create and oversee a corporate mail distribution process.
- Minimum of capturing three bids for every project needed in the Princeton Junction Headquarters.
- Develop local relationships with fire and police departments.
- Response for all weather-related tasks such as snow removal, salting, building closures, building announcements.
- Participate in the planning and tasks associated with special events, meetings, emergency planning, company cleaning and organization days, etc.
- Liaison between Corp HQ and Building Owner(s).
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Maintenance, Industrial Technology, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in areas such as production, or manufacturing required.
- 3 years supervisory experience required.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and guidance.
- Great communicator, both verbally and written.
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
