Job Summary:
Client has an outstanding opportunity for an Solution Architect to join the team in Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA
This position will report out of the Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA office.
You will be part our ERP transformation project and will need to understand the concepts around chart of accounts, finance, supply chain, and procurement.
In this role you ensure that all software and hardware platforms and solutions are planned and designed to be implemented in accordance with information technology strategies, plans and cybersecurity standards.
Maintain congruency with computing and network architecture, improving the use of current applications and systems while minimizing the amount of custom code, and address considerations of performance as part of solution design, testing and implementation.
Responsibilities:
Shapes and owns the product road map and vision and communicates the story to key partners and the rest of the team.
Identifies minimum viable products to deliver business value
Acts as a voice of the customer for their team frequently meeting with partners and customers to understand their need.
Increases Return on Investment by create/identify and prioritize the product features by business value. Also include total TCO
Understands how to use technology to tackle customer problems or build new value frontiers
Drives sprint and release plans together with Scrum Master.
Participates in Scrum events, including sprint planning, story grooming sessions, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
Responsible for exceptional customer experience in all product releases.
Conducts product planning sessions to breakdown initiatives into clear user stories that are derived from customer needs and understood by the team.
Owns the lifecycle of product or service including maintenance, patching, and new version introductions.
Leads and takes part in Technology planning processes to align priorities across IT Services
Focuses on outcomes / Objectives and Key Results (OKR's) to deliver cost effective, customer driven technology solutions.
Develops long-term strategic relationships with customer and industry leaders.
Responsible to business leaders for development of solutions, scope development, prioritization, and delivery of systems and functions. Jointly develops plans and solutions in a timely and cost-effective manner and ensuring the most effective use of product group resources.
Provides leadership and direction for the communication and implementation of new practices to increase organizational performance and success within Information Technology.
Provides direction to teams and ensures solutions and development options meet customer needs, are appropriately prioritized, and are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Responsible for portfolio consolidation, architecture alignment and reducing technical debt.
Required Qualifications:
10 years of experience in IT application development space across multiple hardware/software platforms to include 3 years of experience of one or more of the following:
Application, Enterprise Architecture or ERP systems implementation experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
Understand the domain knowledge around finance, supply chain, and procurement in ERP systems.
Ability to evaluate and implement information technology architectures.
Knowledge of design modeling techniques.
Experience and understanding business requirements and translating them into integrated technology solutions, using object-oriented design patterns, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), and reusable components.
Hands-on experience of two or more development languages (eg Java, .NET, UX).
Modern integration technologies and API's experience.
Data structures, data model, cloud/on-prem architecture, secure coding practices (as applicable).
Modern DevOps, ETL, and Data Analysis methodologies/tools/techniques experience.
Vendor management and vendor products experience.
Defining technology strategy, communicating to Sr. leaders, and leading business partner expectations experience.
Other Required Skills:
Security Literacy, Infrastructure/Cloud Literacy, Integration Literacy, Data Literacy.
Comp $140-150k range 15% annual bonus
