Summary:
The Data & Analytics team at MiTek is newly formed and growing. Our charter is to create a modern data strategy and architecture that allows our business stakeholders to utilize the vast amount of data in the MiTek ecosystem to drive decisions. The BI and Analytics Supervisor will help drive the short-term reporting capabilities and help to devise a strategy for long term analytics data products. This role will need to be able to balance the leadership and technical development of data products.
Responsibilities:
- Work with data engineering and other analytics teams to establish data sources that serve teams' business needs
- Drive accountability by ensuring high quality operational monitoring, analysis and continuous improvement of enforcement and KPIs
- Partner with other Data and Analytics team members to establish a data governance program
- Develop the short term reporting roadmap with the team and the client including schedule, scope while setting up a long term vision for analytics
- Partner with the IT organization team to understand their technical requirements, security requirements and preferred tech stack to design solution
- Participate in data mapping exercises to support reporting and analytics initiatives
- Technical documentation and process documentation as required for activities within the data workstream
- Provide guidance and training to the employees on the Power BI platform as needed to enable Self Service BI
- Develop and deliver business intelligence via dashboards and reporting that are easy to understand, flexible and deliver insight effectively
- Build strategic partnership and work closely with the IT Data and Analytics team to mature analytics within the MiTek organization and in concert with enterprise strategy and objectives
Required Qualifications:
- 5 years of work experience in reporting, consulting, or an operational capacity
- 3 years of experience working with Power BI
- Experience working in an Agile environment using Scrum methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple projects and lead a team of analysts
- Ability to work directly with IT Data and Analytics team and other departments to query correct data sources and validate outputs
- Experience engaging in conceptual technical discussions with data engineering partners, with experience sharing technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong collaboration skills - you partner well with others to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Working with key stakeholders to drive business results
Preferred Qualifications:
- People management experience and/or experience managing global teams
- Experience with manufacturing concepts
- Azure data tools (Synapse, Databricks, Azure Machine Learning)
