Summary The Business Intelligence Developer will design, implement, and maintain systems used to collect and analyze business intelligence data. This includes creating dashboards, databases, and other platforms that allow for efficient collection and evaluation of BI data. They work closely with stakeholders to gain an understanding of BI goals and objectives to ensure the systems and their capabilities achieve those goals. They may train other staff members on the use of BI tools and programs. Job Responsibilities & Requirements ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Support continuous improvement, project management, and automation initiatives within global manufacturing Develop needed metrics and tools as requested by leaders Lead communication with stakeholders to develop robust data collection methods and create/test/pilot/refine/standardize/maintain BI visuals and tools developed. Develop stakeholder training for tools launched Troubleshoot technical issues Continuously improve reports and tools Identifying, and implementing internal process improvements, including re-designing the applications for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes. Communicate effectively across multiple departments and with stakeholders to review business requirements and propose solutions. Will be involved the following initiatives: Ownership of (with guidance from leaders): Shop Floor tiered accountability (daily management) metrics dashboard development: safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and employee engagement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Deployment - Maintenance metrics and tools & Machine connectivity Rapid Problem Solving Other performance data analytics and visualizations Support of (team member): Digital signage Company app for front line workers SKILLS & ABILITIES: Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, programming, engineering, or other STEM degree with relevant experience and training; Business Intelligence credentials and examples; prefer 3-5 years of experience or more, but will consider less with work examples provided; manufacturing operations experience helpful but not required. Language Skills: Can confidently and effectively communicate (written and verbal) across multiple levels of the organization; can speak simply and capable of training non-technical people. Strong communication, problem solving, and human relations skills. Engaging speaker. Computer Skills: Power BI and Sharepoint a must. All Microsoft 365 tools preferred or ability to learn quickly. QAD or other ERP software helpful. Soft Skills work ethic - takes initiative and manages time wisely; Follows through on assignments with few reminders - communicates feedback; good with people: interpersonal style; Not required but please let us know if you have experience with any of the following: Power Shell, Power Apps, Power Automate, any CMMS maintenance management software (like Limble, NetFacilities, FaciliWorks, or within an ERP software), machine connectivity software (like Ignition, MQTT, OPCUA) This is a remote/work from home position, although candidates local to the St. Louis area preferred. Will heavily use Microsoft Teams and Bomgar to connect with stakeholders.
