We are growing and looking for a remote-based HR Operations Specialist to join our team. This person will be responsible for maintaining key functions in HR operations, on-boarding and off-boarding, entering and auditing employee changes, payroll, coaching employees and managers on appropriate processes, and sourcing best-in-class benefits and systems for employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the employee life-cycle and data, process HR transactions in Paycom HRIS, and manage benefits administration
  • Responsible for all Payroll functions using Paycom
  • Administer workers compensation claims, monitor claim status, and conduct interactive process
  • Manage Medical, Dental, 401(k), and other Employee benefit plans and enrollment
  • Conduct compliance reporting for our benefit and 401(k) plans, ACA, and other Federal, State, and local requirements
  • Assist and respond to managers and employees with issues and concerns regarding transactions, benefits, investigations, payroll, employee handbook, and other similar matters
  • Oversee annual review process, performance feedback, online training, and assist with disciplinary actions
  • Review and respond to administrative HR related filings and paperwork (e.g. EDD requests, garnishments, etc.)
  • Post and maintain open positions and assist in the scheduling of interviews
  • Stay up to date on the best systems and opportunities for benefits administration

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related, or equivalent education and experience
  • 1 + year plus experience with Paycom
  • 3 + years’ experience in Human Resources, especially in a restaurant or service industry setting
  • Strong working knowledge of Federal, State, and local labor laws and reporting requirements
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Competency with Excel to build reports and analyze data
  • Comfort working with databases and running basic analyses
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to maintain data integrity, and respect confidentiality
  • Excellent planning and execution skills – able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Deep passion for employee happiness
  • Fluent/Conversational Spanish HIGHLY PREFERRED
